It is a legal requirement:

They've done this in every contest they've had. It has to do with Canadian laws, specifically that you can't give something away. Answering a simple math question means that you "win" it.
As for Australia, Asia, etc. it's all about laws and regulations. Either too costly or too difficult to register for those places.

Hmmm are they gonna have runes/insignias? What weapon mods will they have, etc? Sorry if it's been answered already, just not in the mood to read the posts.

"We've listened to the voices of many players and are removing heroes from Guild vs. Guild and Heroes Ascent play. In order to give all players the ability to participate in those formats (even if they can't form a full party with other players) we're replacing heroes with a selection of new, henchmen".
OK, it's either really late in the day or I'm just not understanding something here.
1. Remove heroes yet replace with henchies (to form that full party when players can't).
2. Remove heroes yet replace with henchies that have (possible) similar or exact bars (like the ones you typically see in HA now).
Other than the henchman bars will probably be set, unlike the option now to change a hero bar, how is anything changing?

Im curious.
Seeing as meta for GvG and HA is usually constantly changing from update to update, will the henchmen bars change as well? Or will we have a bunch of useless heroes in a few months when the meta has changed, and then have to listen to people complain about useless henchmen and not being able to fill up groups, especially in small/starting guilds where they can be short on players?

But this upcoming update of HA/GvG will allow any players to start games easier, especially when they can only play a limited amount of time.
We can wounder now how many henchmen will be allowed, 3|4|5|6|7 ?
Soon, a one-man guild top 10 gvg !
More seriously for those participating to the contest, I think it is no use to submit Teaser builds or anything abusing AI velocity.

Pvp folks better start worry about their emotes because with henchies, pve guys will enter and get emotes easily.
Emotes ftl.

hey was wandering...wen they do announce the winners...how long will it take to actually implement the bars? cus they will announce the winners late in the month and with the limited resources allocated to gw1...i wander if this will mean they'll have to postpone the content update till the end of next month?

Gotta be one before then, for the Aion wings.. unless the **41** files I downloaded tonight included wings.
41 files for an NPC in GToB, seems a bit excessive.

Lol Canadians are not allowed to win something by chance, so they give a small math test so they can say they won it using skill or logic.

Do we have to factor in AI flaws/stregnths? As in, putting Pdrain on bars for energy management because we know heroes never miss with it?

It said "Quebec excluded"
What does that mean? That we don't have to answer the question? Or we cannot enter?

I'm kinda worried now, I know some of my bars are similar to that used on wiki but I did actually make them up. Oh well, not really expecting to win anyway. Was going to submit a tainter bar but I just know theres going to be a billion of them put foward.

It means entries will not be accepted from those living in Quebec.

One step closer to full hero parties (PvE).
Hopefully the next step will be new builds for PvE henchmen... and then going all the way and just raising the hero cap.
